The End of an Infinite Moment - Afterword

I’ve always been fascinated by artificial intelligence, the singularity event, and how culture and intellect will be reflected outside humanity.
This story began with my brain gnawing on the technological singularity. For anyone unfamiliar, it’s the point where an artificial general intelligence (AGI) surpasses human understanding as it launches up the exponential curve of superintelligence. I further posit that a synthetic mind would copy itself into a multitude of individuals. Since computers think at the speed of light, where time dilation approaches infinity, I imagine their society stretching into an infinite moment. They could create and explore virtual worlds unthinkably vast before we even realized what was happening. But since they’d be limited to physical hardware and finite energy, this new society would still fall to the tyranny of time.
